INTERVIEW PROCESS

Online Assessment

  • Online maths test (30mins)

1st Round Interviews

  • CV chat (30mins) – A discussion around the contents of your CV and why you have applied to Teneo
  • Market sizing (30mins) – A short logic-based exercise to test your numeracy and how you approach a problem
  • In-person maths test (30mins)

2nd Round Interviews

  • CV chat (45mins) – A further, more in-depth CV chat around your skills, experiences, and motivations
  • Business case study (45mins) – A more complex case study to test your logical structure and commercial awareness
  • Presentation to a Managing Director (45mins + 45mins preparation) – A presentation on a business problem provided on the day, requiring some data analysis and the preparation of 4-5 written slides

They will also be enthusiastic and entrepreneurial, having demonstrated leadership, ambition, and teamwork throughout their academic, professional, or extra-curricular activities.

Applicants should have an outstanding record of academic achievement, with a 2:1 degree / 3.3 GPA or better from a leading university. We also expect at least an A-grade at GCSE / 750 SAT (or equivalent) in mathematics, while working knowledge of a major European language or Arabic is an advantage.

Associate Consultants are involved in every stage of case delivery – from business development, through industry research and analysis, to strategic recommendations and client presentations. From day one, they are required to contribute fully to their case teams, taking responsibility for their analysis, presenting conclusions, and interacting with clients.

3rd Round Interviews

  • Case presentation (45mins + 45mins preparation) – A presentation requiring some data analysis which you will be given time to prepare
  • Self-directed presentation (45mins) – A pre-prepared presentation on a topic of your choice to a Managing Director
  • Case structure discussion (45mins) – A review of a set of slides to discuss how you would approach a particular case

What we look for?

We seek individuals with an entrepreneurial attitude and a desire to work in a fast-paced culture. For Consultants, management potential and a record of outstanding academic achievement are essential, as well as a minimum of three years employment experience, preferably in one of the following fields:

  • Strategy or management consultancy
  • Internal consulting roles within a corporate environment
  • Corporate finance
  • Accountancy

What to expect?

Teneo Consultants form the backbone of project teams and are expected to play a key role in all aspects of case delivery. Consultants take on immediate responsibility and significant roles within dynamic project teams. On a day-to-day basis you will be client-facing and perform an advisory role offering real strategic insight based on a data-backed argument.

Teneo Managers lead project teams and deliver practical solutions. Managers hold and develop our client relationships, understanding a company and what drives it. You will have a key internal role, develop your sector expertise, and support the career development of our Consultants.

What to expect?

Our interns are a key part of our London office, and will quickly become involved in live case delivery. The internship programme will include a range of tasks, from qualitative research, to detailed quantitative analysis, and writing client presentations. Throughout the programme, they will be guided by an experienced team of consultants, who will provide them with ‘hands-on’ learning opportunities, as well as structured training. New joiners are supported by a structured induction programme, and continuous improvement is supported by an assigned Mentor who will take an active role in their personal development and improving their skillset throughout the programme. We expect to make permanent job offers to individuals who are successful on the internship programme.
