What made you pick Credo?
I met a few people from Credo at different careers events and attended the company presentation, and was impressed by how friendly and intelligent everybody was. I also really liked the fact that Credo is a smaller company, because this gives Credo a very close-knit culture and lots of opportunity to take on responsibility early in your career.
What is the most interesting project you’ve done in the last 12 months?
One of the most interesting projects was helping a client to set up an oil storage and trading company in Dubai. Oil trading operates very differently to many of the other markets that we regularly work in, and learning about the dynamics that affect the industry was fascinating. In addition, Dubai can sometimes have a very different business culture to the UK, so it was fun to experience something new and learn how to operate in a different environment.
What do you wish you’d known about consulting and Credo whilst you were applying?
It can be very hard to understand the differences between consultancies when applying. I think it’s really worth spending some time thinking about what’s important to you in a job – in terms of professional responsibilities and development opportunities, but also company culture and the social scene – before deciding which opportunity is right. For me, Credo offers some great professional opportunities, but more importantly has a brilliant culture, which I think is one of the best things about the company.
